Since 1983 Destination Management has been creating and operating Special Interest Tours for Garden Club members, Friends of the Botanic Gardens, nature enthusiasts, nurserymen and horticultural societies.

Countries to where we have sent Garden Tours include Japan, China, USA, Canada, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Holland, France, Italy, Greece, New Zealand, Samoa, Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, South Africa, Burma and Thailand .

Hundreds of guests from around the world have enjoyed meeting and travelling on our tours, with others who share their same interests of flowers in bloom, rare plants and landscape design.

Previous clients, for who we have produced tours, include The Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane Botanic Gardens, The Australian Museum Society, Queensland Nursery Industries Association, Nursery Industries Association of Australia as well as select travel agencies located in USA, South Africa, New Zealand, Canada and various cities around Australia.

Upcoming Tours to Japan, Peru, Canada, China, New Zealand, India, Russia and Burma all include a mixture of gardens, wild flowers, horticultural exhibitions, national parks and nurseries.

Leading our tours are garden authorities and horticultural experts like Ross McKinnon, Curator in Charge of Brisbane`s Botanic Gardens and Lawrie Smith, whose company Landplan Studio designed and created such major garden developments as the Roma Street Parklands and the gardens of World Expo`88 .

Special arrangements have also been made on each tour for our guests, at selected gardens, to meet the owners, head gardeners or curators who have an intimate knowledge of their own gardens and can answer all your questions regarding plants, planting, landscape design and history of their garden.

We have a following of international guests who keep us informed of new places for us to add into our future tours. Our itineraries are never the same and features are often copied by other companies.

Our style of tour is considered as up-market but casual. This means that you travel in comfort, your hotels are of superior quality and daily activities are designed especially with older guests in mind. You dont need to worry about how to find public transport or what to do next as your Tour Manager and Local Guides are with you to take all the complications out of your journey.

Content of each tour includes a cross section of all that each country has to offer including local cuisine, accommodation chosen for its comfort, convenience and atmosphere and cultural, historic and picturesque highlights.
