We have negotiated special arrangements with a Japanese Ski Lodge for an accommodation and local activity package during their summer season.

Fly Fishing , Birdwatching , Nature Walks , Plant Hunting and Photography will be the main attractions.

For any individual travellers who would like to pursue their personal interests of either fishing for salmon and trout in the snow-fed mountain streams or birdwatching and plant hunting around the surrounding wild areas, this could be just the right place to go.

The lodge is located on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido. If you look at a map , you will see that you will be further north than Vladivostok in Russia . The closest town is near Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru Quasi National Park , just by Mt. Yotei-San, which looks very much like Mt. Fuji in shape.

At this stage we are trying to compile some detailed notes on birds, plants and fly fishing from the lodge but would like you to indicate if you are interested.

Also if you would like to put together a group of 10 people we can arrange a more extensive tour programme using the lodge as a base.
