This is the 10th Vintage Machinery Collectors and Restorers Tour that we have operated and our third to the Great Dorset Steam Fair. This time we have created a completely new European Tour as the focus of our 2005 event and offer the Great Dorset Steam Fair as an extra extension.

Wide variety of machinery

On this tour you will see some of Europe's finest collections from vintage cars and antique tractors to operational old steam boats and modern assembly plants.

You will visit the Transport Museum in Colombes , French Railway Museum , Schlumpf Collection of more than 600 motor vehicles , Bulldog Museum , Deutsches Museum , German Rail Museum , Dresden's VW Glaserne Manufaktur Plant , Deutches Technik Museum , Deutches Tractor Museum of 118 historical tractors , Cruquius Pumping Station built in 1846, Netherlands Steam Tram Museum , Spoorweg Railway Museum and the Netherlands Museum of Historic Agricultural Equipment.



Scenic wonders and cultural attractions

You will visit some of the most famous cities in Europe including Paris, Berlin, Dresden, Munich, Amsterdam and Brussels.

Scenic wonders and "must see" places you will see include the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Seine, Danube and Rhein Rivers, Brandenburg Gate, The Reichstag , Nymphenburg Palace and the remaining ' footprint ' of the infamous Berlin Wall.

Stroll around the charming old town of Colmar with its narrow cobble stone streets and beautifully carved wooden houses, the medieval city of Nuremberg with its beautiful Gothic churches, quiet provincial town of Bayreuth where the great composer Richard Wagner lived and is buried, walk around Dresden's Old Town and watch their grand evening parade of the Dresden Steamer Festival, followed by a firework display over the Elbe.



Transport and Accommodation

Accommodation has been selected to reflect the styles and tastes of the region where they are situated.

Touring will be by private luxury charter coach with ample spare seats for better viewing and comfort. Breakfasts are included daily with dinners provided on various nights, in selected restaurants which highlight local flavour, culinary delights and entertainment.



Great Dorset Steam Fair

This is arguably the worlds biggest machinery rally, so we include 2 full days and one evening here for you to get right in amongst it all.

You can be assured of seeing many famous brands and rare machinery on display and working.

Antique tractors, vintage machinery, gas engines, steam engines, stationary engines, traction engines, working models, spare parts, badges, name plates, farm equipment, showman's engines and trucks are all featured. Here too, you will find books, crafts, entertainment, demonstrations and food.



International Guests

Guests from all countries are welcome to join us . Though many of our guests are from Australia and USA , we are often joined by people from New Zealand, UK, South Africa and New Guinea. All our tours are in English only and our Guides are all local in the countries in which we are touring .
