USA Antique & Vintage Machinery Tour

This is the 13th Vintage Machinery Collectors and Restorers Tour that we have operated and our fourth to USA. We have included attraction considered to be the best in the USA by our previous tour guests. ... plus a wide variety of additional attractions in Nashville, St Louis, Washington DC, New York, Louisville and Colonial Williamsburg.

This will be the fourth tour we have operated to USA for restorers and collectors of antique and vintage machinery including tractors, trucks, cars, industrial and farming equipment, stationary engines, steam trains, Mississippi sternwheelers as well as the John Deere and Corvette assembly plants.

Two of the biggest antique and vintage rallies in USA are included in this tour.

The Tri State Gas Engine & Tractor Show in Indiana .. and The Mid West Old Threshers Reunion at Mt.Pleasant, Iowa.

AND ... along the way, machinery club members will once again be inviting you to visit their private collections, club premises and homes. On our previous tours Americans from all walks of life have offered us truly welcoming and generous hospitality.

At each rally you will have the opportunity to see craft exhibits, go shopping for rare collectibles, listen to live country music entertainment and enjoy a wide variety of local specialty food.




Wide variety of antique, vintage and new machinery

You will see some of America's finest examples of vintage cars, antique tractors and modern assembly plants on this tour.

We also plan to meet with local club members, visit Transport Museums, Railway Museums and private collections.

America On Wheels Auto Museum, National Air & Space Museum in The Smithsonian, St Louis Transport Museum, Coolspring Power Museum, Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum and Studebaker Museum are all included in this tour.

The John Deere Historic Site, Assembly Factory and Collectors Center, Mississippi Sternwheelers, Corvette Assembly Plant, Steamtown USA, as well as The Henry Ford Museum, will all be visited.



Scenic wonders and cultural attractions

We will also include attractions and locations that will also appeal to accompanying partners.

Greenfield Village, Copshaholm (Joseph Oliver's mansion), Belle Meade Plantation, Monticello (Thomas Jefferson's home), Grand Old Oprey in Nashville Tennessee, Tippecanoe Place (Clement Studebaker's Mansion) and historic settlement of Colonial Williamsburg will also be visited.

Scenic wonders and "must see" places you will see include the city monuments and Smithsonian Institution in Washington CD, the rolling farmlands of the Midwest, New York city sights, the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia and Kentucky Blue Grass Country.

The Amish community of Shipshewana will also introduce you to a completely different way of life.



Transport and Accommodation


Accommodation has been selected as close as possible to all the scheduled attractions and varies from big city to country locations.

Touring will be by private luxury charter coach with ample spare seats for better viewing and comfort. Breakfasts are included daily with dinners provided on various nights, in selected restaurants.

Tri State Gas Engine and Tractor Show

This is arguably the biggest machinery rally in America, so we include 2 days and one evening here for you to get right in amongst it all.

You can be assured of seeing many famous brands and rare machinery on display and working.

Antique tractors, vintage machinery, gas engines, steam engines, stationary engines, traction engines, working models, spare parts, badges, name plates, farm equipment, showman's engines and trucks are all featured. Here too, you will find books, crafts, entertainment, demonstrations and food.




Midwest Old Threshers Reunion

Covering more than 180 acres, this event is certainly one of the biggest of it's kind in USA. Around 115,000 visitors each year attend this 5 day program.

Here you have 2 days to enjoy historical exhibits include operating steam and gas engines, antique tractors, cars and trucks, electric trolleys, a steam train, an 1894 steam carousel, a Log Village – where costumed interpreters help visitors experience life as it was in the 1850s, horse-powered activities such as threshing and transportation of visitors.

All types of entertainment take place, with free live music in five different locations on the grounds and top name country entertainers performing in front of the grandstand in the evening.

In several locations on the grounds crafts and antiques are sold and crafters demonstrate their skills.



International Guests

People from all countries are welcome to join us. Though most of our guests are from Australia and New Zealand, we are often joined by people from Canada, USA, UK, South Africa and New Guinea. All our tours are in English only and our Guides are all local in the countries in which we are touring.
